It's not a dystopian thought, it just makes sense.
"Agrihood" was coined after a recent unveiling of a fabulous, 3-acre plot of land in the middle of a suburb that grows rows of vegetables, with an orchard of over 200 trees, in Detroit! An agricultural neighborhood where it feeds over 2,000 households for free, managed by volunteers. Urban gardens are popping up everywhere to offset the price of produce that a lot of American households are finding more and more difficult to afford. Agrihoods to build community. Americans are taking it upon themselves to put a cog in the wheel of the system that provides, and can decide to limit of eliminate food stamps for those in need. Agricultural neighborhoods and urban gardens unify communities and provide nutrient-dense food for free.
